Mayors Housing Green Paper Stakeholder Event
posted: 20/03/2009
Landlords who rent out properties in the Stoke-on-Trent area are invited to attend a meeting to discuss the Elected Mayors Housing Green Paper.
The Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) has been commissioned by the City Council to follow up the previous consultation on the Housing Green Paper.
There are three parts to the piece of work:
1. A consultation event with the general public ( to take place on 4th April)
2. A consultation process with stakeholders, including landlords
3. A report to the Council setting out key strategic ideas which can guide the Citys housing plans.
This work is to proceed and is unaffected by recent political changes.
The Council also believe that the timing is appropriate as there is a critical need for the Citys strategies to take into account the affects of the credit crunch.
A briefing document will be sent out before the meeting and the discussion hopes to address more issues than the 5 main questions the Mayor has asked.
The web link to the Green paper is: www.stoke.gov.uk/housinggreenpaper
The meeting will take place on Tuesday 31st March 2009 between 12pm and 2.15pm.
Lunch will be provided to allow attendees time to introduce themselves and have an informal chat prior to the discussion taking place.
Please contact the Landlord Accreditation Team if you would like to attend by the 25th March.
If you know of any other landlords who may like to be involved in this consultation event, please let us have their details.
